Meet Our Therapists

Yolanda Cao | Occupational Therapist & Manager

Yolanda is a dedicated and experienced occupational therapist. She has completed a Bachelor of Medicine in China and a Master of Occupational Therapy in the University of Sydney. Yolanda has worked with people from all walks of life in the areas of paediatric, hand therapy, workplace rehabilitation and aged care, specialising in supporting individuals with neurodivergent conditions, developmental delays, and neurological conditions to improve their functional capacity in meaningful activities and work on life skills building/rebuilding. 


Yolanda has built a wide range of therapeutic skills to provide tailored and evidence-based intervention. Her friendly, bubbly personality and natural ability to connect with kids create a positive environment, making each session both engaging and effective. Yolanda’s commitment to supporting her clients shines through her hard work, as she consistently goes above and beyond to help them reach their full potential. Fluent in both English and Mandarin, Yolanda is able to communicate and build relationships with a diverse group of families. With a deep passion for helping children thrive, Yolanda is an invaluable part of our team, dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of her clients.


Tara Baudana | Occupational Therapist

Tara is a passionate and dedicated occupational therapist who began her OT journey at Koala Occupational Therapy. She graduated from Western Sydney University with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy and has worked with both adults and children throughout her fieldwork and previous work experience. Through this, she has developed a passion for working with children with physical and intellectual disabilities to promote their independence. Tara also has experience working with adults throughout their rehabilitation process to regain their independence after various surgeries, neurological injuries and falls. Tara adopts a client-centred focus where the goals of the client and the client's family are prioritised, while making therapy enjoyable and positive. Tara enjoys going to the beach, being outdoors and playing soccer in her free time. 

Angela Liu | Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Angela is a paediatric occupational therapist who completed her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at the University of Sydney, graduating with first-class Honours. Her research has focused on young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Intellectual Disability (ID) in school-to-work programs. Angela also has experience working with children with a variety of disability backgrounds, including ASD, ADHD, and rare genetic conditions.


Angela loves working with children because she learns so much from them and gets to see the impossible become possible. Her therapy sessions are often play-based or sensory-based, as she believes children develop skills best while having fun. She enjoys seeing her clients practice essential life skills during sessions that they can use at home, in their community, and at school. Personally, Angela is passionate about collecting interesting toys from around the world! She is also fluent in both Mandarin and Japanese.

Japhia Obejas I Occupational Therapist

Japhia is a friendly occupational therapist who began her professional career with Koala Occupational Therapy. She completed her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at Western Sydney University and gained clinical experience working with adults and children across hospital, clinic, and community settings. 


Japhia particularly enjoys working with children as she has a natural ability to effectively create relationships and build rapport with her clients. She values collaboration and working together to achieve meaningful goals. In her sessions, she strives to create fun and engaging therapy sessions that tailour each child' interests to build their confidence and independence. 


Japhia cherishes the opportunity to celebrate her clients' progress alongside their families, recognizing that every step forward is significant.


In Japhia’s free time, she enjoys soaking up the sun outdoors, working on a puzzle, or spending time with family and friends.

Gareth Lim I Occupational Therapist

Gareth holds a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from Western Sydney University. He is a recent graduate who brings a passionate and willing attitude to supporting individuals who require occupational therapy to work towards their goals. Gareth believes that tailoring therapy to each person’s individual needs is key to providing effective, client and family centred care.


Gareth has experience working with both children and adults across various clinical settings, identifying appropriate interventions to support each of his clients. He is committed to continually expanding his knowledge and further developing his clinical skills as he progresses in his career.


Outside of work, Gareth enjoys going for runs, dancing, bouldering, and documenting the small moments of his daily life.

Sunny Wen | Occupational Therapist

Sunny holds a Master of Occupational Therapy from the University of Sand brings years of experience working in the community, clinics, and hospitals. She is passionate about helping clients with neurological or age-related conditions regain their independence by improving functional performance and creating safe, supportive home environments. Sunny’s goal is to empower her clients to engage in meaningful activities that enhance their quality of life.


Sunny also works closely with children facing developmental challenges, providing holistic and comprehensive care that supports each child’s unique potential. Her areas of interest include working with adults and older adults with conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease, Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Arthritis, Intellectual Disabilities, Vision Impairments, Pressure Injuries, Mobility Issues, Cognitive Impairments, Dementia, Brain Injuries, and more. She also has a strong focus on Early Childhood Intervention.

Wilbert Chan | Speech Therapist

Wilbert has worked in a variety of clinical settings such as hospitals, aged care facilities, schools and private clinics in Hong Kong and Macau. He has extensive experience in early intervention, school-based therapy, adult services and palliatative care. His clients range from children with language delays and articulation problems to elderly with communication and swallowing difficulties. Wilbert strives to build on his clinical experience and skills. He is knowledgeable in the use of therapeutic techniques and interventions to help clients make progress. Wilbert’s approach to speech therapy focuses on empowering families and the client’s support system to actively participate in the therapy process. He advocates for pragmatic strategies used during sessions that are easily understood and achievable, so they can be seamlessly integrated to the client’s everyday life.

Bo Pang I Occupational Therapist

Bo holds a Master of Occupational Therapy from the University of Sydney and is an experienced clinician with expertise in holistic assessments, sensory integration, motor skill development, social skills training, and behavioural management. He addresses a range of needs, from developmental delays in children to mental health challenges and functional rehabilitation for adults and seniors. Bo’s career is built on a dedication to empowering individuals of all ages to reach their fullest potential and enjoy meaningful, independent lives. With a collaborative approach, he works closely with families, caregivers, educators, and healthcare teams to provide comprehensive, individualised care that meets each client’s unique needs.

Scarlett Li | Occupational Therapist

Scarlett is an Occupational Therapist who holds a Master of Occupational Therapy. With a diverse background that includes previous experience as an electrical engineer in Hong Kong, she brings a unique, analytical problem-solving approach to her practice. She has worked across various clinical settings, from paediatrics to aged care and acute hospitals, developing a well-rounded perspective on client care. 


Scarlett is particularly passionate about supporting children in developing the functional skills they need to thrive in their daily lives. She is passionate working with children with ASD, ADHD, developmental delays and non-verbal condition. She believes that the most eIective learning happens when children are engaged and having fun. She utilises play-based approach to achieve therapeutic goals. She believes in a collaborative approach, working closely with family members, teachers, and other professionals to create holistic and eIective intervention plans that optimise client outcomes.


Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, Scarlett is skilled at connecting with clients and families from diverse cultural backgrounds. In her free time, she enjoys travelling to new countries and exploring local cafes, continually seeking out new experiences and perspectives.

Daniel Xie I Operations Assistant

Daniel is a recent graduate of the Doctor of Physiotherapy program at Macquarie University. His practical experience across various clinical settings, combined with strong organisational skills, makes him a valuable addition to our team. Daniel brings great attention to detail to his everyday work, supporting therapists and the broader team with operational, administrative, and quality assurance projects. He is committed to contributing to the sustainable and continuously improving operation of Koala OT.


Daniel has a strong interest in working with vulnerable populations and giving back to the community. He speaks English and Mandarin, and is currently learning Spanish. He is also a tech fan and has a special interest in 3D printing—when you visit the clinic, see if you can spot one of his creations!

Kay Xia I Service Coordinator I Administration

Kay is our dedicated Service Coordinator, known for her warm, considerate, and professional approach. She plays an important role in assisting with service coordination and administration tasks, ensuring that everything runs smoothly for our clients and team.


Currently studying Occupational Therapy at the Australian Catholic University, Kay brings both her academic knowledge and practical experience to her role. She has completed most of her clinical placements in hospital settings, working with people of all ages, which has strengthened her strong organisational and communication skills.


Kay is fluent in both English and Mandarin, making her a valuable asset in supporting our diverse community. Her easy-going and considerate nature makes her a joy to work with, while her professionalism ensures that clients and colleagues always feel supported.


Outside of work, Kay enjoys listening to music, watching movies, and playing badminton.

Jennifer Ling I Service Coordinator I Administration

Jennifer is our Service Coordinator and Administration Officer. With a background as an early childhood educator, she has a deep understanding of children’s needs and family dynamics. She now uses this experience to support our client and their families, helping to ensure that every family feels heard, supported, and understood.


Jennifer believes that building warm, trusting relationships is at the heart of her work. She values teamwork and knows that when everyone works together, wonderful things can happen!


Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys swimming for fun and relaxation. She is also a big fan of watching dramas, which is her favourite way to unwind after a busy day.


Fluent in both English and Chinese, Jennifer is always ready to help and make everyone feel welcome and comfortable.

Dr Ivan Jin | Director

Ivan is a Medical Doctor and the Director of Koala Therapy Services, where he oversees clinical governance, service development and the integration of multidisciplinary care across the organisation. He holds a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Sydney and has extensive experience in hospital medicine, emergency care and paediatrics across metropolitan and regional Australia.


Ivan is passionate about building accessible, person-centred allied health services that empower clients and families to achieve meaningful and sustainable outcomes. He has a strong interest in holistic care, quality improvement and supporting clinicians to deliver safe, evidence-based practice.


Outside of his clinical and leadership work, Ivan is an avid home cook, and enjoys strength training, badminton and exploring different cuisines. He is also a proficient speaker of Mandarin Chinese.

Miss Coco | Chief Happiness Officer (CHO)

Miss Coco is the heart and paws of Koala Therapy Services. As our beloved Chief Happiness Officer, she keeps spirits high, wagging tails (and hearts), and brings daily joy to our hardworking clinicians. Whether she's curled up beside us during report writing time or greeting team members with a cheerful bounce, Miss Coco plays a vital role in maintaining a positive, calming atmosphere at the clinic.


Her special skills include:

  • Boosting morale with cuddles and tail wags
  • Providing emotional support during admin hours
  • Reminding us to take breaks and enjoy the little things


When Miss Coco is not busy brightening our workplace, you can find her napping in sunbeams or sneaking treats from her favourite humans.
